ARTIST STATEMENT

Christa Schanda was born into a family of artists in Vienna, Austria. She received a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts and a Masters degree in Painting. Christa has been exhibiting her artwork throughout the United States and Europe. Various series of paintings developed over the years including flowers, marshlands, abstracts and dance. This series shows her passion for the TANGO.

Christa Schanda was born to dance. Trained in jazz, ballet and modern she delved into the mystery of the TANGO. It took her by storm with many unexpected twists and turns. This series of TANGO paintings shows the TANGO as it sizzles. Christa enjoys dancing the TANGO with passion.
