COLLEEN GIBBONS

 

It is a great pleasure to announce Colleen as STUDENT OF THE MONTH on this August 2019!

Colleen is a dedicated Tango learner and practitioner. As the learner progresses deeper and deeper into Tango, the inner layers of the Art become observable. One truly realizes how seemlessly, Tango is indeed a spiritual Art. Colleen is a good reminder of this.

No wonder the journey of Tango becomes quickly a way of life!

Colleen has her own words about her experience:

" My journey to tango came through Tai Chi Chuan. I kept hearing about differences and similarities between the two. Following my curious nature and old desire to learn partner dancing, I joined a small class at my local Park and Rec. Over the years, I have had a number of instructors, each consecutively giving me more information than I had before until I met Jean-Pierre.

Through Jean-Pierre’s excellent teaching and grand passion, he has showed me and continues to show me the ART of tango from the inside out. I have gained a helicopter perspective on the dance that I did not possess before and view it as a spiritual practice " now.
