BEGINNERS FUNDAMENTALS : THE WALKING TECHNIQUE.
The Walking Technique is the foundation of Tango Dancing. Our instruction emphasizes this.
If you have issues with your balance or connection... polish your Walking Technique !
INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED : THE MEDIA-VUELTA
The Media-Vuelta is the secret to improvisation. Tango is an improvisational art form, therefore we do not teach steps, rather we provide you with the tools to improvise with finesse.
Along with the improvisation, comes a deeper understanding of the dance. The Media-Vuelta is truly the ESSENCE of Tango dancing.
THE AFRO ROOTS OF TANGO
We emphasize the Afro Roots of Tango from the Candombe. We help you understand what musically makes Tango the specific genre it is. Thus, we take you into the Habanera, the world of Call-Response.
INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED MIXED LEVEL
These sessions will be tailored to the participants present. We will put together a work load that will allow everybody to work on what they need to improve.
