NORMAN Mc HENRY

 

Tango Magdalena proudly presents Norman Mc Henry, as our Honored Student for September 2009.

We have been fortunate to have Norman be part of our community at Tango Magdalena and for sure, part of the Bay Area Tango Community.

We quickly noticed how dedicated, patient and focus he presented himself althrough the many weeks he's been coming to our studio. In his own words :

"I was a Salsa dancer and it was my fellow Salseros that introduced me to Tango.  I was immediately attracted to the grace and fluidity of Tango.  However in the beginning it did not go well as I was neither fluid or graceful;  so after about 3 months I gave up.  The music was foreign and nothing I had done before translated well to Tango.  About 4 years later I tried again and this time I met with more success. This was last March and I have been taking lessons and workshops on a regular basis.  

When you connect with your partner in Tango it creates a euphoria.  I am still developing a Tango style and look forward to becoming an accomplished dancer."

Norman is also a generous individual. That is why we know, the grace and fluidity of Tango he mentioned will only transpire through him as he progresses in his Tango journey.
