PAULA F. BRUST
We have appreciated seeing Paula, coming to study with us The Magdalena Technique (TM). She has been diligent, constant, consistent in her journey. We can appreciate her inner tuning to the Art of Tango. That has no price tag possible. She has been growing from the inside out. It is a pleasure to see that she is getting more and more to the space of dancing with any good Tanguero. We celebrate her breakthrough! Let's hear what she says, with her own words: "Tango blows my mind: "What's the count?" "No count; 6 tango positions" (Ok - my ballet background could relate to that) "But they don't necessarily go in order - it's up to the leader." (Mind blown again. Ok, like the leader is playing chess.) I've been doing Tango a number of years. I consider myself an advanced beginner, at best. My biggest/latest accomplishment was to get out of my head and relax. I had already conquered "don't anticipate". I came to Tango from the swing world. I wanted a challenge; and boy, howdy, did I get it! It's especially important to keep those synapses firing as we age. My goal is to be a good partner, 'cuz who wants to dance with a lousy one! Jean Pierre drills down on steps, body position and frame. Any level can always benefit from "getting down to the basics". He is always up for my (many!) questions. I love the way he breaks the steps down to a granular level - making it very easy for me to understand. His enthusiasm is contagious!"
BRAVOOO PAULA! We love your Tango journey! ean-Pierre & Oshalla
